Qatar is scrapping its travel red list and quarantine for arrivals, the Ministry of Public Health has announced.
From Sunday September 4, no travellers arriving from abroad will be expected to quarantine, at home or in a hotel, with the exception of those who test positive for COVID-19.
Citizens and residents will be expected to take a rapid antigen test within 24 hours of arrival in Qatar, at a Primary Health Care Corporation health center or a Ministry of Public Health approved private medical center.

All visitors must provide either a negative PCR test result within 48 hours of the scheduled departure time, or a rapid antigen test result within 24 hours.
The testing rules apply to all travellers, regardless of immunity status.
Non-GCC nationals or residents will still be required to register on Ehteraz at least three days before arrival, but uploading your vaccine certificate or certificate of recovery is now optional.
The new policy comes into effect at 6pm on September 4.

The news comes after the Qatar Cabinet announced masks would no longer be mandatory in open or closed spaces, with the exception of inside health facilities and on public transport.
New masks rules come into effect from today (Thursday September 1).
