Qatar adds 14 bus routes to network

Public transport is slowly getting back to normal

Qatar has added 14 new bus routes to its network, Mowasalat (Karwa) has announced.

From September 20, the 10, 22, 31, 34, 40, 41, 76, 129, 156, 156A, 300, 301, 304 and 747 bus routes will be added to the network.

Mowasalat also announced that it would no longer be running the 101, 102, and 102X routes on Fridays.

Bus services initially relaunched across Qatar on September 1, with just 22 routes. These were the 11, 12, 20, 21, 32, 33, 33A, 43, 55, 56, 57, 101, 102, 102X, 104, 104A, 109, 119, 727, 737, 170 and 757.

The news comes after it was announced that the Doha metrolink would be expanding its service to cover The Pearl-Qatar.

The newly-announced route M110 has stops in the Qanat Quartier and Medina Centrale, and will run every day, with buses every 12 minutes.
