'Air bubble' flights between Qatar and India to continue until October 31

‘Air bubble’ flights between Qatar and India will continue until October 31, it has been announced.

Since August 18, Qatari nationals and Indian nationals with a valid Qatar visa have been able to fly back to Qatar.

Indian nationals stranded in Qatar, overseas citizens of India and Qatari nationals holding certain visas were also permitted to fly back into India. This arrangement was set to last until August 31, but has now been extended.

The Embassy of India in Doha tweeted, “India-Qatar air bubble  transport arrangement has been extended till 31.10.2020 or till resumption of scheduled services, whichever is earlier.”

You can find details about who can fly on air bubble services on the India in Qatar page here.

Qatar residents stranded abroad have been able to apply to return since the beginning of August.

The Exceptional Entry Permit to Qatar section of the Qatar Portal website offers a temporary service for employers to apply for an entry permit for residents and their family members holding QIDs.
