Passengers travelling to Qatar from Istanbul must have negative COVID-19 result

Passengers travelling to Qatar from Istanbul must have a negative COVID-19 result to fly, Qatar Airways has announced.

The result must be from a test taken within 48 hours of arrival in Doha, and must come from an accredited medical centre. A full list of approved centres in Turkey can be found on the Qatar Ministry of Health website here

If you’re travelling from elsewhere in Turkey, you will be expected to take a coronavirus test on arrival at Hamad International Airport.

Qatar Airways made the announcement on its Twitter account yesterday.

The news comes after travel in and out of Qatar started again on August 1.

Those returning must quarantine, and you can find out more information about the guidelines here.
