Residents of Qatar that are stranded outside of the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic can now apply to re-enter.
The Exceptional Entry Permit to Qatar section of the Qatar Portal website is now live, offering a temporary service for employers to apply for an entry permit for residents and their family members holding QIDs.
Anyone who received a permit has once month to return. Upon arrival in Qatar the Ehteraz app needs to be downloaded.
Anyone coming from a low-risk country must prove they have been in that country for 72 hours and attach evidence to the application.
The applicant must state all of the information given is correct and assume legal responsibilities if they are not.
People coming from low-risk countries should conduct a COVID-19 test at an approved hospital (if there are any) in the 48 hours leading to departure and present a hard copy of the examination certificate upon arrival at Doha.
If there are no approved hospitals where the person is coming from, the test will be done after landing.
Anyone not arriving from a low-risk country must have a reservation in one of the designated hospitals for a one-week quarantine period and have a test at the airport on arrival.
