Designed with a variety of local Omani influences, the modern urban resort Kempinski Hotel Muscat opened its doors in March 2018 to guests from around the world as well as the surrounding community. Encompassing over 6km of stunning coastline within Al Mouj Muscat residential community, this unparalleled luxury destination in the capital of Oman blends traditional Omani hospitality with the timeless European elegance of Kempinski. Designed by Woods Bagot, Kempinski Hotel Muscat is a modern interpretation of Muscat and the Sultanate of Oman, with stand-out elements that are truly Omani in nature.

Located within a residential community, guests have access to exciting retail and dining facilities at Boulevard, with a premier marina facility and flagship yachting destination at Al Mouj Marina as well as a signature PGA-standard 18-hole links-style course at Al Mouj Golf, minutes away from the airport.

The striking diamond-shaped building also hosts 11 separate function rooms, featuring natural daylight and conveniently equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment.

Must-see attractions include:
1.  Al Alam Palace, the Sultan’s Palace in old Muscat, displays the unique ancient architecture of the Sultanate. It is bordered by Al Jalali and Al Mirani fortresses, which were built in the 16th Century to protect Oman from invasion.

2.  Visit the Muttrah Souk to explore the essence of Muscat and experience the dynamism of typical Omani day-to-day life.

3.  Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque showcases traditional Arab architecture and provide insight on the Arab culture, with a library of over 20,000 information sources, as well as the second-largest hand-woven carpet in the world.

4.  Royal Opera House Muscat, located in Shatti Al Qurum district, is the leading arts and culture organisation in the Sultanate and puts a modern twist on traditional Omani architecture.

5.  National Museum of Oman is where visitors can have a glimpse of traditional Omani crafts and learn about the Sultanate’s rich culture.

Kempinski Hotel Muscat features 310 rooms and suites with spectacular sea and garden views. Guests can choose from superior, deluxe rooms or grand deluxe rooms, or opt for the larger junior, deluxe, grand deluxe or royal suites. Ranging between a spacious 45 sq m to an opulent 186 sq m, guests can look forward to exceptional accommodation.

In addition, the hotel has introduced 77 apartments in its residences which feature beachfront apartments and villas, luxuriously designed for comfortable, upscale living. Signature suite
Royal suite: Glamorous in every way, the impressive royal suite is outfitted with modern audio-visual equipment and features a large entrance hall, lavish living room with dining area, private media room and separate study. All areas of the suite have access to a landscaped garden and your own private plunge pool with direct views from the bedroom.

Three-bedroom duplex villa: Decadently designed featuring a remarkable spiral staircase leading to contemporary spacious bedrooms, this one-of-a-kind villa with high ceiling and open plan dining area is uniquely designed to offer the utmost in luxury and comfort. With the largest balcony, it is ideal for social hosted entertainment.

Guests can experience live interactive cuisines at The Kitchen Restaurant or indulge in a delightful northern Indian experience at Bukhara Restaurant.

For light snacks and meals during the day, the Pool Bar team takes care of each guest’s appetite, while relaxing and enjoying the sun.

For fans of Thai street food, Soi Soi is the place to be; a lively restaurant reminiscent of Bangkok’s bustling street-food scene.

For authentic Indian teas, Boulevard Tea House provides that and more in a cosy setting. Fresh coffee, dainty desserts and pastries can be found at Café One, the hotel’s deli.

Amwaj Lounge, the hotel’s luxury living room, sets the scene with a selection of French pastries and afternoon tea. Zale, the hotel’s beach club and lounge, is also the only one of its kind in Al Mouj, specialising in globally inspired cuisine, using seasonal ingredients and the freshest local products. At night, this venue turns into a vibrant lounge, a new and exciting addition to Muscat’s night scene.

Kempinski The Spa: Kempinski The Spa provides complete rejuvenation in a world of European-inspired luxury and breath-taking experiences. It features a cascading waterfall at its entrance and includes separate male and female areas with five beautiful designed treatment rooms and one couple suite with private shower.

Health Club: Vibrant and energetic, the Health Club is a state-of-the-art gym with dedicated personal training, a female only gym, a fitness class studio and a juice bar where healthy infusions and vitamin boosters can be enjoyed.

Swimming pools: The hotel features a total of three pools – the kids’ pool, an infinity pool and a cascade pool. The infinity pool features sweeping views of the beautiful ocean and the Cascade Pool is an adults only pool catering to couples during their time at the hotel.
