Are you always looking for things to do in Doha? Here is a list of restaurant bars that you absolutely must visit, whether you live in Doha, or you’re just visiting.
CLAW BBQ
There’s plenty to look forward to at this popular Doha hotspot. From delicious seafood and American eats, there are drinks to be had and games to be played. Grab your friends and hit CLAW during the week for a fun after-work outing or just book in for the Friday brunch. You won’t regret either.
DoubleTree by Hilton, Al Salata (4034 3111).
Glo Cocktail Bar
Do you fancy sitting under the stars? That’s exactly what you’ll get thanks to the starlit ceiling in Glo Bar. Try the Girls Night Out when ladies get three complimentary beverages between 9pm and midnight on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We also recommend getting stuck into the sushi menu featuring a sashimi and maki selection.
Marriott Marquis City Center Doha Hotel, West Bay (4419 5000).
Jazz Club
There aren’t too many places to listen to jazz in Doha but Jazz Club is right at the top of that small list. Ladies can start the week in style – with some jazz music and two free drinks on Sundays. The first two drinks are on the house and the next two are 50 percent off. There are plenty of delicious bites, but we love this spot mainly for the tunes.
Oryx Rotana, Umm Ghuwailina (4402 3333).
Mix Bar
Mix Bar at The Westin Doha is a much-needed nightspot in the Bin Mahmoud neighbourhood. Try the mixed drink creations from the mixologists indoors or sit outside when the weather is better to enjoy some top city views from the enormous terrace. There is a food menu, too, and it’s worth trying out a few fishes.
The Westin Doha Hotel and Spa, Fereej Bin Mahmoud (4492 1555).
Pure
There is something extraordinary about the view here. Look on the left to see new Doha, West Bay’s towering skyscrapers all lit up at night and beaming beautiful, multi-coloured rays of light on to the sea. Look on the right to see old Doha, also lit up, but gravely different from the other side. With tasty food options and drinks that won’t send you into bankruptcy, Pure is a top option in the Doha area.
Doubletree by Hilton, Al Salata (4034 3333).
Secret Garden HIGHLY COMMENDED
Unparalleled views from Marsa Malaz Kempinski’s majestic dome clubbed with a menu that features the likes of mushroom truffle pizzas are what you can expect at this exemplary location that actually has secret garden feels.
Marsa Malaz Kempinski (4035 5757).
The Club at The St. Regis
This is another rare spot where you can listen to excellent live jazz music. Other genres are played, too, but it’s usually always live music and that’s what we love the most. Draped in red upholstery, with a stage that’s closer to you than an arm’s length, the entire venue has a really cosy feel.
The St. Regis Doha, West Bay Lagoon (4446 0000).
Trader Vic’s HIGHLY COMMENDED
The best place to shake a leg, delectable Asian-Polynesian bites, a new and exciting extension and some of the city’s best beverages all make for an award-winning bar. Also, this is the home of Doha’s best jalapeno cheese balls.
Hilton Doha (4423 3222).
Wahm, W Doha Hotel & Residences
Wahm is such a reliable spot – reliably good food, drinks, music and ambience. Ladies get three free sips from 9pm until midnight. There’s a selection of beverages to choose from, the music is groovy and the vibes are great. There’s no better place to be on a Monday.
W Doha, West Bay (3025 5017, 4453 5135).
Zengo Lounge WINNER
We love Zengo for so many reasons – it’s on the 62nd floor, the bar bites are absolutely delicious and everything is beautifully and creatively presented. The lounge is cosy and sophisticated with tall, black leather couches and large tables. Try the new items on the menu such as the spicy, crispy prawns and the maki rolls. One of the best ladies’ nights in town on Fridays is here. Ladies get two free drinks from 7pm until 11pm.
Kempinski Residence & Suites (4405 3560).
