Where to stay in Doha with kids

Four areas that are ideal for families

Where to stay in Doha with kids

Al Waab

In close proximity to schools, there are plenty of plush housing societies that are dotted with top amenities and recreation facilities. The locale is very peaceful and there are plenty of nurseries, schools and vocational classes around. Aspire Zone is right around so if you’re an active family with school-going kids, there isn’t a better area for you. Villaggio is around the corner as well and the area is now connected with a metro station, too.

Lusail

There are plenty of reasons to choose this up and coming area to live with your family. It’s well connected by a metro and a tram is in the plan, too. It’s a quiet city with beautiful sea views, a marina and a beautifully landscaped Corniche. The housing is more affordable than surrounding areas such as The Pearl and there are plenty of exciting things coming up in this area such as an amusement park.

Markhiya

With a host of malls and plenty of play areas and parks in the vicinity, Markhiya is a great fully residential area. The area has only low-rise homes and plenty of space for the kids to play outside. The highway can be easily accessed in a few minutes making it perfect for school drops, too.

The Pearl-Qatar

If you’re an expat family with kids and can afford it, The Pearl is a great choice. With themed vicinities, brilliant apartments, beach access and an overall incredible vibe, this area is every expat’s dream. From balconies with sea views to Venice-themed villas overlooking the canals, you can find innovative housing solutions. The kids will love all the play areas, the water features, the beaches, the parks and everything else. The Megapolis gaming centre promises a fun time for the whole family and has some fantastic dining options attached to it.
