Aspire Zone has an exciting range of activities for this year’s National Sports Day in Qatar.
Aspire Zone Foundation’s (AZF) National Sport Day (NSD) celebrations are rapidly taking shape as the NSD organising committee at AZF puts the final touches to this year’s programme of activities.
The activities include more than 20 unique events such as foot-volleyball, Run & Bike and an obstacle course race, open to anyone to participate.
There will be an obstacle course race for children, too, besides relay races, wall climbing and other sports for adults.
Run & Bike is a new event presented by Aspetar this year, where you can form a team of two, one runner and one biker, and cycle and run every 2 km to finish around 4 km together.
The event will start at 10am in the area between The Torch Doha and Khalifa International Stadium.
The Fun Run is back this year and everyone including children and those with special needs can participate.
You will cover a 2 km course around Aspire Zone, experiencing all the facilities AZF has to offer along the way. This race starts at 8am.
Activities dedicated to females only include badminton and basketball at Aspire Dome from 10.30am until 3pm.
The Sports Science and Football Performance Department at Aspire is organising several football related activities that include shooting, dribbling, fitness challenges, football matches and more.
These activities are suitable for all age groups and fitness levels.
The dome will also witness a range of fun activities and challenges for all family members such as basketball and challenging barriers.
Bring your sportiest pair of shoes and prepare for a day filled with active fun.
