Spend time in an exclusive majlis

Souq Al Wakra has a new staycation deal

Staycations are some of our favourite things to do in Qatar and with the perfect weather right now, we’d love to spend a weekend at a scenic location.

Souq Al Wakra has just launched a super Majlis deal on staycations with prices starting at QR4,500.

Various room categories are found around each majlis at Souq Al Wakra Hotel, which mimics the traditional Qatari Bedouin tent.

The majlis has been designed to ensure you destress and spend valuable time with your family and friends.

There are open walkways and paths leading to courtyards at both the hotel’s North and South blocks. Four majlis areas have been created (two at each block) and you can experience luxury in a secluded space, perfect for private gatherings or intimate celebrations.

You can choose from three exclusive packages, categorised based on the number of rooms and food and beverage options included.

The first package, for instance, has a dinner buffet included. The second package offers an Oriental dinner at the majlis area and the third package includes a barbecue or seafood buffet along with live cooking stations.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and located in a historic spot. In keeping with the local heritage, each of the guest rooms and suites feature classic thatched roofs, designed with colourful motifs reflecting the radiant blues of the sea and the sandy tones of the desert.

The Wakra souq is right there, so you can just pop out for a long, leisurely walk across the Corniche.

With Doha Metro, it’s never been easier to reach here. You can just take the Red Line to the Al Wakra station and then a free bus directly to the Souq.

It’s a pretty good weekend plan if you ask us.
