Things to do in Doha: Try the new teppanyaki experience at Megu

It’s no secret how much we love anything Japanese and if it involves eating out, we’re the first to try it. Which is why, we’re blocking this weekend to try out the brand-new teppanyaki experience at Megu.

This Japanese tradition involves cooking food with an iron griddle (teppanyaki literally means grilling on an iron plate).

This style of cuisine is primarily used to cook ingredients like beef and chicken but is also effective for seafood, dough-based food or vegetables.

From this old preparation technique to skilfully mastering the art in restaurant kitchens, teppanyaki is a popular worldwide phenomenon, and now you can experience this in Doha.

The mezzanine floor of Megu is now dedicated exclusively to teppanyaki and the chefs will ensure you have an authentic Japanese experience.

The chef might even juggle a few condiments to make things a little more exciting.
Prices á la carte. Open Sat-Thu noon-11.30pm; Fri 12.30pm-midnight. Megu, Porto Arabia, The Pearl-Qatar (4409 5237).
