Things to do in Doha: Try an Italian cooking class

Take a break from the usual Saturday brunches and other things to do on a weekend in Doha and try something different for a change.

Starting January 18, you can attempt a cooking class at Italian restaurant Veritas located in the beautiful Al Messila, a Luxury Collection Resort and Spa.

Take your family or friends and sign up to learn the signature chitarrine pasta from Veritas’ award-winning chefs.

It’s your chance to explore the simplicity of Italian cuisine at the marble counter at Veritas.

Chitarrine literally translates to little guitars and is a handcrafted traditional spaghetti, named after its preparation method.

The dough is rolled out on a special wooden tool, which resembles guitar strings. You can observe the chefs in action, as they explain and lead you through ingredients and methods of the perfect home-made pasta.

Post the class, you can stick around for a private lunch at Veritas and taste the chitarrine as part of a three-course menu crafted by the chef.

It’s unique, fun and definitely worth trying on a chilled Saturday.
QR250. Jan 18 onwards, 10am. Veritas, Al Messila, a Luxury Collection Resort and Spa (4445 0000).
