Your National Day experience is incomplete without watching the fireworks. The most strategic spots to catch it from include the Corniche, Katara and Bandar (the dhow harbour). The fireworks start at 8pm.
Besides the fireworks, there will be plenty of National Day-themed activities taking place all across Katara. From live performances at the amphitheatre to paratrooper shows, there’s something for everyone. The national dance Ardha will take place on the waterfront. Make sure you plan to get here early and use the metro to avoid massive traffic jams and delays.
Get a taste of Qatari culture with traditional entertainment at Mirqab Mall. The most striking event is the community activation which will be held in the atrium throughout the campaign, where customers can colour a single brick that will be part of a large Qatari flag. The completed flag will be a tribute to the true meaning of Qatar National Day and offer a powerful message of community to both Qatari nationals and residents. Mirqab Mall will also host patriotic stilt walkers and professional falconers.
