Things to do in Doha: Check out this poolside restaurant

City Centre Rotana Doha has just launched its newest gastronomic venture. Sama Lounge is the hotel’s first outdoor restaurant and it’s located right next to the pool on the seventh floor.

Not only can you dine outdoors in fantastic weather by the poolside, you can also catch some top views of the West Bay skyscrapers.

There’s a diverse menu on offer, mainly with an Arabic theme, and you can find freshly prepared mezzes, sandwiches and other international favourites in it.

You can anticipate a spin on ingredients on all the classics such as tabbouleh, fattoush and mashawi.

Aside from the meaty morsels, there are delicious options for seafood lovers. Try the crispy fried calamari or the garlic chilli prawns, but just be warned, you might end up ordering multiple plates of these.

The menus are specially created and Sama Lounge serves some healthy options, too. And with all the exotic dishes on the menu, you’re probably wondering how much this is going to set you back.

Luckily, the dishes are reasonably priced and you really don’t have to think twice before you stop by for a leisurely meal.

The restaurant has a relaxing ambience. The background music combined with comfortable seating and elegant tables gives the restaurant a comfortable, homey feel. There are candles throughout emitting warm light and it almost feels as if you’re in a beautiful Pinterest backyard.

You'll find us cosily tucked into one of the couches.
Open daily 6pm-midnight. City Centre Rotana Doha, West Bay (4445 8888).
