There’s loads of things to do in Doha from trying new restaurants and bars to checking off top cultural attractions from your list. And we’re here to give you as many options as we can.
VCUarts Qatar in Education City has launched the 2019 edition of its fall art, design and craft classes.
It also launched its Portfolio Development classes, which have been designed to help high school students acquire the skills necessary to prepare admissions portfolios, and its Continuing Education programme, which offers adults creative professional courses and programmes.
If you’re interested in art, design and craft classes, you can choose from an exciting and educational range of creative pursuits that include classes in pottery, sketching, fashion design, calligraphy, contemporary architecture, novel writing and applied technology including animation, robotics and virtual reality.
A full list of classes can be found on the university’s website. The classes are open to all ages and abilities and will begin from mid-October.
The portfolio development classes teach students the necessary skills to build a competitive portfolio.
Students will have the time to practice and experiment on different types of portfolios, with the instructors providing timely and detailed personal feedback when required.
The classes will also teach observational drawing, creative thinking, communicating ideas, composition and preparing portfolios.
The Continuing Education programme is for those who want to pursue learning at any age. There are two options – Fashion Business and Creative Entrepreneurship Management. The latter is ideal if you want to learn how to run your business online, for instance, if you’re a blogger, online retailer etc.
