If your kids are in an endless cycle of playing Fortnite and making TikTok videos, now would be a good time to sign them up for VCUarts Qatar’s summer art and design programme, aimed to creatively advance their skills and make new friends.
Classes are designed for children (aged four to 16) with workshops starting from June 29 until early August.
At VCUarts Qatar this summer, children can learn to design video games, apps, T-shirts and artistically express themselves through paintings, robot design, fashion illustration and so much more.
In the Art Explorers – Under the Sea class, which is open to children aged four to six years old, children will print, paint, sculpt and experiment with mixing medias to create their own interpretations of undersea life and watery worlds.
In the Robot Art Explorer course, children aged six to eight will develop their creativity and art skills by experimenting with a variety of media to create two- and three-dimensional robot artworks.
Children aged four to six years can use media to experiment and sculpt their interpretation of life under water.
For the fashion illustration class for ages ten to 14, students will be introduced to fashion drawing and using fabrics in fashion illustrator and other varieties of media.
In Coding and Video Game Design for children aged five to eight, participants will learn to create video games, animation and stories and learn the fundamentals of programing.
And for young adults, ages 16 and above, Design Thinking will educate them in representing themselves by using programmes like Illustrator and Photoshop to make inspirational mood boards.
Who knows, your kid might end up making a robot to do all your housework, or even better, design a new outfit for you.
Prices and timings vary. June 29-onwards. VCUarts Qatar, Qatar Foundation, email@example.com (3013 3448).
