Dine at Jason Atherton’s Pearl Social
The celebrity chef has brought his special touch to Doha, opening the simply brilliant Pearl Social at Marsa Malaz Kempinski. The Mediterranean-inspired menu is a hit – especially the 40-day aged beef cheek. Phwoar, what a dish. We can’t wait to hurry back there this month – and so should you.
Open Sat-Wed 7pm-11pm (Mondays closed); Thu-Fri 7pm-midnight. Pearl Social, Marsa Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl-Qatar (4477 4164).

Early eats at Elements
Just in case you want to have an enhanced supper, Elements’ early dinner offer is just perfect. For QR150, you can have a three-course pan Asian meal and a sip from 6pm until 7.30pm. Enjoy a selection of some delectable dishes from Indian, Japanese, Chinese and Thai cuisines.

Get out onto the water
Whether you surf the waves, fall face into them or prefer to soar high above them, you simply have to get out onto the open water this month. We’ve rounded up the very best of water-related fun to have in Doha. Fire up the jet skis and, if you don’t like getting wet, hold on.

Get your game face on
If you needed a reason to go to Virtuocity, the first-of-its-kind gaming zone in DFC, we have 240 of them. In simple terms, gamers now have access to the latest technology that can improve the whole experience and make it better than ever. Relax and recharge

Wake up on a peaceful beach with the smell of essential oils, vegan food and fresh herbal teas. No, this isn’t a dream, it’s an actual opportunity to attend a meditation retreat on Banana Island. You can walk on the beach to join morning yoga, sound healing and meditation.
QR995 (per person). May 24-25. Daniel Matallana, Banana Island Resort by Anantara (3328 6827).
