The country’s celebration of consumerism, Qatar Summer Festival (QSF) is back and runs until August 31. That can only mean one thing – lots and lots of shopping. If you’re one of the many who hasn’t travelled this break, you should rejoice, especially if you’re a shopaholic.
The entire city is in a buying frenzy and it truly feels like all our holidays have come at once. Think of all the money you’ve saved from not travelling and get your diaries out to start planning your spends.
There are 11 malls included and all retailers at these malls are offering up to 50 percent discounts and special promotions. Aside from individual deals at the outlets, for QR200 spent at any of QSF’s participating mall outlets, shoppers can enter three raffle draws for a chance to win one of 27 exciting cash prizes worth QR2,000,000 or a Lamborghini Hurricane (2018 model) super car.
QSF’s participating malls include Al Khor Mall, Al Mirqab Mall, B Square Mall, Doha Festival City, Gulf Mall, Hyatt Plaza, Lagoona Mall, Landmark Mall and MOQ.
The fun doesn’t end there. Shoppers can take a break from hoarding and watch live performances at the various malls, or just head over to the Entertainment City. Spread out over the expansive ground floor of the Doha Exhibition & Convention Center, the City’s key features include the world’s largest bouncy castle, an 18-hole mini-golf course, an ice skating rink, exciting rides, video games and live entertainment shows. Also, as part of QSF, nearly 50 of Qatar’s four- and five-star hotels are providing a range of offers and discounts on brunches, beach and pool access, accommodation and spa treatments.
We’re not responsible for the effects on your wallet. Mostly because we’re still recovering from last year’s summer festival shopping.
Until August 31. www.qatarsummerfestival.qa.
