The Pier

A contemporary, chic, seaside spot that is a delight for all the senses

Time Out Says

As if Nobu and the brunch weren’t reasons enough to visit the Four Seasons, the hotel has lined up one more spot in the most scenic place possible. The view from The Pier is absolutely spectacular – West Bay’s glorious skyline, Four Seasons’ clean, sandy beach and the architectural marvel that is Nobu – all right in front of you. Nothing can possibly top this.

This casual-chic seaside shisha lounge gets so many things right, from the comfy seating with great views to the actual structure of luxurious cabanas over a curving pier. The food, however, tops everything.

The dishes are predominantly Arabic but have interesting (and very delicious) twists. We try the foie gras kibbeh and think nothing can be better, until we try the cheesy and spicy sojouk sticks. The potato wedges exude brilliant tangy and spicy flavours and the black truffle hummus is magical. But what really blows us away is the Nutella mango kunafa. This combination of sweet, chopped mangoes and chocolate goodness is a brilliant twist on the traditional dessert. It’s crunchy, it’s soft, it’s gooey… we can’t focus any more.

It’s a tough (and, to be frank, excruciatingly slow) walk out of The Pier. Our only regret is not being able to try every dish on its menu.

The bottom line
Stunning views and even better food.
