One of Doha’s most impressive expat hangouts, the interior at Le Grill is plush yet unstuffy and the waiting staff are so pleased to see you that you begin to wonder if they had been misinformed as to the impending arrival of the world’s most generous tipper. The food, however, is not quite as stellar as it could be. A lack of flair in the accompaniments department is the main problem. There’s no doubting the quality of the tender and juicy steaks on offer, it’s just that the kitchen could do with putting a little bit more effort into making them shine with the iridescence they deserve.
