Pleasant food served in a rustic setting

Dining at a spot owned by a household name like Jamie Oliver is already a hit in our minds but there’s this undeniable fear of the possibility of the whole experience going south.
The restaurant makes a good first impression with its cosy, rustic feel – incandescent lights hanging from the ceiling, warm colours of teal and brown, and marble table tops. The tables are sufficiently spaced out and there’s an open kitchen.
The peperonata bruschetta is overloaded with peppers but has great sweet and salty flavours with the cold cheese adding a very homely touch. The truffle tagliatelle has a nice silky texture with its strong truffle butter (which we love) and much to our delight, more shaved black truffle on top. But if you choose the small size for QR59, be prepared for a disappointingly small portion.
The funghi misti pizza is a winner with its porcini mushroom sauce base, but the highlight is easily the butterflied Sicilian chicken. The chicken breast is juicy and tender and doused in a tangy and mildly spicy tomato, aubergine and black olive sauce.
Fun fact – the chicken comes all the way from Turkey (where they lead good lives) and knowing our chicken was happy just makes this meal better.
Overall, top-notch service and excellent food.
