Time Out Says

The name means "fire" in Spanish and Fuego in the Shangri-La is a restaurant which aims to capture the heat and passion of Argentina. Expect plenty of authentic South American dishes ranging from empanada sharing platters, tamales and of course steaks. Every dish comes with an explanation and a story to why it is included here (most for reasons of the family of the chef).

As an introduction to South American, and particularly Argentinean, food it is most useful. While there are a few flourishes (Chinese, Italian and Qatari empanadas?) it is mainly the sort of food you would expect from a macho Buenos Aires steakhouse.

That, and a dessert selection including a trio of dulce de leche, is something we're always happy to welcome to Qatar. Especially when you throw in a lively atmosphere and some live music as well. A deserving winner of Highly Commended recognition for a new restaurant at the Time Out Awards 2016.
