If there’s one thing opening up faster than malls and cafés in Doha, it’s burger joints. Okay, maybe not as fast as cafés, but you get the point. We’ve checked out three fantastic new places for a dose of comfort food this weekend.
This new burger spot is applying some serious pressure to its more expensive counterparts. The bread it uses is incredibly soft (and even a bit buttery) and the selection of patties is great. It has a Zanzibar burger starring pomegranate (the name threw us off, too), the Panama burger, which has a chicken patty stuffed with cheese inside, and is topped with Doritos and a volcano sauce. And there are several more options, too. Just excuse all the spelling mistakes on the menu – we’re almost certain cheriyaki sauce was meant to be teriyaki.

If you're driving around Dafna, you can't miss the bright lights on this food truck. It serves excellent burgers, and the great news is, it’s open until 3am on weekends, so you’re sorted for after-party bites. Try the maple 55 shrimp, if you’re okay with sweet-savoury combinations. But the Tex-mix burger is epic – it has the softest bun imaginable, jalapenos and crisps inside and the most delicious Angus beef patty.

Burger and Burmait
There are so many food trucks in Doha right now, but we're certainly not complaining (we predicted this a few months back, in fact). But this particular food truck is whipping out some unique stuff from its back seat. Like a black burger bun. The bread is good and the burger matches up. But it’s the sauces that are the showstoppers here. It serves a slightly more subtle bright pink bun, too.
