Business lunches in Doha to try

Choosing a place to go for a business lunch is annoyingly difficult.

Do you go casual, or impressive? Italian, or Indian? Cheap as chips or eye-wateringly expensive?

Luckily for you, we’ve rounded up some of the top business lunches in Doha so you’ll be able to find something suitable no matter what you’re after.

Boston’s

If you’re looking for something cheap and cheerful, you can’t go far wrong with Boston’s. For QR69, you’ll get a starter, main course and a soft drink, and for QR105 you’ll get the same deal but with a house beverage instead. Think burgers and casual American dining rather than fine-dining to impress a client.
QR69 (soft drink), QR105 (house beverage). Daily 12.30pm-3pm. City Centre Rotana Doha, West Bay (4445 8888).

La Veranda

Italian is always a solid bet if you’re not sure what kind of food your guest likes, and La Veranda is well known for its authentic dishes. The set menu for lunch includes a starter, main course and dessert for QR100, with dishes such as pizza, risotto or pasta on offer.
QR100. Daily noon-3pm. Sheraton Grand Doha, West Bay (4484 4444).

Market by Jean-Georges

A previous winner of Time Out’s best business lunch award, Market by Jean-Georges is a favourite of business men and women across Doha. For QR108, you’ll get a starter, main course and a dessert - all delivered within 30 minutes. It’s a perfect option for when you’re in a rush, and the food is always impressive.
QR108. Sun-Thu noon-4pm.  W Doha Hotel & Residences, West Bay (4453 5135).

Paper Moon Doha

Even if you’re not taking out a client, Paper Moon Doha’s lunch menu is a great way to try the fantastic Italian restaurant out without breaking the bank. For QR74, you’ll get two courses, or for QR89 you can get three.
QR74 (two courses), QR89 (three courses). Jaidah Square (4016 6000).

Prime

Heading to a steakhouse for lunch is undoubtedly an indulgent treat, particularly at Prime which offers up some of the best meat in the city. The lunch menu includes Argentinian striploin or the catch of the day, with two courses costing QR89 and three courses coming in at QR109.
QR89 (two courses), QR109 (three courses). InterContinental Doha The City, West Bay (4015 8888).

Sabai Thai

Thailand is known for its street food, so it’s no surprise that you’ll be able to pick up an express lunch at Sabai Thai. The lunch, which includes three courses costs QR75 with soft drinks, or QR105 with one house beverage.
QR75 (soft drinks), QR105 (house beverage). Daily noon-3pm. The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa, Fereej Bin Mahmoud (3359 8514).

Sel & Miel

French food fan? Make sure you head over to Sel & Miel of its three-course lunch menu from Sunday to Thursday. You’ll enjoy three courses and one soft drink for QR95 per person.
QR95. Sun-Thu noon-4pm. The Ritz-Carlton, Doha West Bay Lagoon (5576 4278).

Spice Market

We’ll take any excuse to head to one of the best restaurants in Doha, and you should too if you fancy incredible sushi. For QR108 you’ll get to enjoy a three course meal at Spice Market, and we promise whoever you take along will be impressed.
QR108. Daily noon-4pm. W Doha Hotel & Residences, West Bay (4453 5135).

Trader Vic’s

The Tiki bar chain isn’t the most obvious of choices for a business lunch, but it’s the perfect option for a casual meal. Three courses will cost you QR89, and you can pick from dishes including ceviche, pad thai noodles and beef teriyaki.
QR89. Daily noon-3pm. Hilton Doha, West Bay (4423 3225).

Zengo

Located on the 61st floor of the stunning Kempinski Residences & Suites, the views from Zengo are breathtaking. Although this is one of the more expensive lunches, at QR115 for three courses, we think it’s well worth it for the incredible sushi.
