Celebrate Songkran in Doha with home delivered Thai treats

Love Songkran and missing Thailand? To celebrate Thai New Year, Dusit Doha is offering an array of dining experiences you can enjoy through takeaway.

Thai New Year, when the popular Songkran Festival takes place, is celebrated every year from April 13-15 and signifies the astrological change over to the new year.

The three-day festival is a mix of tradition and fun and is about showcasing Thailand’s finest dishes.

So you can indulge in all that fun (minus the water guns, unless you have a balcony and, of course, water guns) with Dusit Doha’s dining concepts.

Dusit’s signature Thai restaurant Benjarong, serving authentic Thai cuisine created using the finest ingredients, is serving exclusive dishes for Thai New Year.

Carefully crafted using the finest ingredients available, some of the dishes are Mussaman Ka Kae by Poem of Kind Rama II’ (slow-cooked lamb shank with homemade massaman curry, potatoes, cashew nuts and cherry tomatoes).

Another exclusive Thai dish on the menu is the famous Khao Niew Moon Mamuang Gub I-Tim Kati (sweet sticky rice and mango dessert).

The exclusive menu is available for takeaway orders and free delivery is available starting from April 14, noon to 9pm, for orders starting from QR250.

If you want to add in some international dishes, you can place your order at Taste which serves biryani, tandoori platters, pastas and many other dishes.

If you’re not sure what to pick, try the honey mustard chicken (oven-roasted baby chicken basted with grain mustard and honey and served with crushed potato cake and green bean salad) and the delicious boursin cheese salad with beetroot, shallot, fresh thyme, toasted walnuts, garlic boursin cheese and a wild berries dressing.

For French cuisine aficionados, Antoinette’s Cafe offers French pastries and European favourites including the famous niçoise salad, sandwiches, chocolate éclairs and a selection of coffee, tea and other refreshments, all available for takeaway orders daily from 7am to 7pm.
