A three-night paella festival is coming to one of Doha's top restaurants

One of our favourite new venues in Doha is launching a special weekend menu and we can't wait to try it.

Chef Dani García, a Michelin-starred chef from Spain, will be launching a special Paella Fashion Weekend menu from February 5 to 7 at the recently-opened BiBo in Doha.

Garcia and his award-winning executive chefs will be joining BiBo Doha guests firsthand to present this unique experience.

Spending many weekends making paella for his family in Marbella, Garcia is known to have accumulated his own secrets of how to perfectly prepare this popular Spanish dish.

This one-off paella menu will offer a variety of options including paella de pollo coquelette served with corn-fed baby chicken, paella de chuleta de wagyu and paella de bogavante served with saffron lobster.

The three-course set menu includes shared starters such as the traditional salad dish in Russian cuisine ensaladilla rusa and the potato omelette tortilla de patatas bravas, a traditional dish from Spain, as well as BiBo’s signature desserts such as the famous cheesecake and the fruta fresca, served with fresh fruit, frozen tropical meringue, nitro popcorn and hibiscus granita.

Garcia will explore different types of paellas from thin style Alicantino paellas (a thin layer of rice with a choice of topping) to creamy meloso rice and paellas made on open flames with vine leaves. In BiBo, guests will taste paella that uses bomba rice, harvested from three different villages – Sollana, Silla and Sueca.

The Paella Fashion Weekend set menu prices range from QR375 to QR475 per person. We’re picking up the phone right now.
From QR375. Feb 5-7, 7pm-midnight. BiBo Doha, The St. Regis Doha, West Bay Lagoon (4424 4870).
