There's a brand-new Italian restaurant in Doha

There's a new Italian restaurant in Doha, and we're excited to try a big plate of its food.

The latest dining destination at Al Messila is serving an impressive selection of dishes from the Northern Italian region.

The food prepared by Michelin star chef Stefano Ciotti uses basic but incredibly flavourful ingredients and the results are spectacular.

From the first bite of the antipasti to the crescendo that you’ll reach with the mains, there’s an entire range of exciting items that you have to try as soon as possible.

Ciotti is devoted to handpicking his ingredients and using fresh products that are locally sourced.

The menu features a delicious and colourful selection of antipasti, setting the stage for the appetising homemade pastas, grilled meats and seafood.

The dishes are all mindful little plates with pure ingredients that showcase all the hallmarks of Northern Italy.

Don’t expect a load of olive oil and tomato sauce. These dishes rely on butter, corn polenta and cheese for the predominantly cream sauces which will be used.

The restaurant has a very elegant and sophisticated yet modern setting. There are cosy touches with the soft décor and Italian jazz playing in the background.

We don't want to wait much longer, we're heading there this weekend.
Open Thu-Sat 6pm-11pm. Al Messila, a Luxury Collection Resort and Spa, Doha (4445 0000).
