Brand-new restaurants to try in Doha
Mosaic

Amara
Indian cuisine is one of the most popular in Doha and the newest addition to this spice-rich list is cute, contemporary North Indian restaurant Amara. Located on Salwa Road, the restaurant menu features some authentic North Indian fare such as raan (lamb leg) and some signature kebabs. You can find dishes from other regions too such as Goan fish curry and Lucknowi mutton but the shining stars here are the vegetarian curries.
Open now. Ramada Signal, Salwa Road (4416 0707).

Antoinette’s
We’d be lying if we said we weren’t excited by the flurry of French café and restaurant openings taking place across Doha. Add Antoinette’s to that exciting list. Opening this month, make sure you stick around to indulgent in some decadent French pastries and scrumptious savoury bites at this promising new luxury spot.
Opening September 2019. Dusit Doha Hotel, West Bay (4004 4444).

Benjarong
This family-style Thai fine-dining spot is such a stunner. It’s been around for a little more than two months and there’s so much to love from the cosy couches to the slow-cooked ribs. The cuisine is Thai with a few contemporary touches but you can still find a bunch of authentic dishes, too. So, there’s something for everyone, and, for us it’s just the slow-cooked beef ribs with five spice.
Open now. Dusit Doha Hotel, West Bay (4004 4444).

Bread and Crumbs
We’re excited about this new spot in Doha Festival City. Bread and Crumbs is more of a kiosk than a sit down place, but it’s perfect if you want to grab something on the go and just eat a delicious croissant sandwich while you window shop. You can choose from a selection of Paninis, quiches, Turkish simit, a few artisan bakes, beverages and, our favourite, dessert in a cup.
Opening September 2019. DFC (4035 4444).

Indo-Chin
Doha’s newest Asian hotspot will feature Indian, Thai and Chinese fare in an informal setting. Indo-Chin is exactly that – a delightful combination of the best of Indian-Chinese dishes. The early Chinese settlers in India found their love for spicy, greasy, masala-rich preparations and that’s exactly what will be served at this restaurant due to open by the end of this year.
Opening November 2019. Doubletree by Hilton Doha – Al Sadd (no number).

Mosaic
Mandarin Oriental has just opened Mosaic, a restaurant featuring nine speciality open kitchens and plenty of food to choose from. Located on the eight floor, Mosaic offers indoor and outdoor seating with panoramic views of Barahat Msheireb town square, the Corniche and West Bay.

The menu takes influence from exotic destinations along the Silk Route stretching from the Far East to Europe. Dishes such as sushi, sashimi and robatayaki, Arabic mezze and grilled meat, sizzling-hot tandoor oven breads and exotic curries from India, delicate dim sums and wok-fried dishes from China and Southeast Asia and a selection of tempting desserts are all on offer.

Each dish is prepared by the chefs in a buzzing ambience, reminiscent of the street markets or rustic alleys found in Asia, Middle East and Europe.
Open now. Mandarin Oriental, Doha, Msheireb Downtown Doha (4008 8888).

OPEN
This 24-hour spot will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner in a really cosy but casual setting. With open kitchens and a variety of international cuisines such as European and Arabian, there will be plenty to love in this all-day diner.
Opening November 2019. Doubletree by Hilton Doha – Al Sadd (no number).

Rajdhani
This new Indian spot on Salwa Road serves delectable Mughlai dishes from a massive menu (that never seems to end). From popular paya soups and tandoori appetisers to meaty mains and brilliant biryanis, there’s something for everyone here. The vegetarian dishes such as the okra, paneer and dum aloo deserve a special mention.
Open now. Salwa Road (4444 7786).

Sky Lounge
The rooftop of Dar Al Karam restaurant will be converted into a food market of sorts. Located in Al Hazm Mall, Doha’s most luxurious mall, Sky Lounge will feature at least six kiosks of some of Doha’s best food spots such as Market by Jean-Georges, Indego by Vineet Bhatia, Isla and a few others. We’re absolutely looking forward to this one for the winter.
Opening November 2019. Al Hazm Mall (4411 1444).

The Frying Scotsman
We’ve been craving a good fish and chips combination so the brand-new Radisson Blu restaurant comes at the perfect time. Just opened, The Frying Scotsman offers the chance to indulge in authentic British fish and chips, in the heart of Doha, daily from 5pm to 11pm.
Open now. Radisson Blu Hotel Doha (4428 1428).

The House

If you know us well, you know we’re always excited at the thought of steak. So imagine our happiness when The House opened? We’re than happy to share this super new spot with you. This green and gold-themed steakhouse in Dusit Doha Hotel serves some incredible cuts along with some surf options for seafood lovers. The restaurant serves delectable cuisine in lighter portions paired with fresh farm-to-table accompaniments.
Open now. Dusit Doha Hotel, West Bay (4004 4444).
