It’s completely normal to spend too much time deciding where to eat and what cuisine you and your friends are in the mood for. It’s also normal to almost never agree on one place. And that’s why you should always have a copy of Time Out Doha at all times because we always have a solution.

Mandarin Oriental, Doha has just opened Mosaic, a restaurant featuring nine speciality open kitchens and plenty of food to choose from. Located on the eight floor, Mosaic offers indoor and outdoor seating with panoramic views of Barahat Msheireb town square, the Corniche and West Bay.

These open kitchens create authentic flavours and dishes designed for sampling and sharing in a lively setting. Guests can expect to embark on a culinary journey inspired by the famed Silk Route. Live demonstrations are on show and open kitchens include a rotisserie, sushi station, Arabic grill, tandoori oven, Asian wok, yakitori grill and two stations dedicated to creating delicious desserts, refreshing juice and smoothies. The menu takes influence from exotic destinations along the Silk Route stretching from the Far East to Europe. Dishes such as sushi, sashimi and robatayaki, Arabic mezze and grilled meat, sizzling-hot tandoor oven breads and exotic curries from India, delicate dim sums and wok-fried dishes from China and Southeast Asia and a selection of tempting desserts are all on offer. Each dish is prepared by the chefs in a buzzing ambience, reminiscent of the street markets or rustic alleys found in Asia, Middle East and Europe.

Spanning the restaurant are wooden, geometric partitions inspired by woven palm leaves creating semi-private dining spaces. The interiors are influenced by traditional Qatari architecture with contrasting modern copper elements.

This sounds like the solution to all our dining problems. Grab you entire gang and head over today for meals to satisfy everyone at the table.
Open daily 6.30am-10.30am; noon-2.30pm; 6pm-11pm. Mandarin Oriental, Doha, Msheireb Downtown Doha (4008 8888).
