Visit a virtual Ramadan-themed art gallery in Qatar

There are loads of art exhibitions you can view online around the world, but if you’re looking for something local, check out Doha Festival City’s new Ramadan-themed virtual gallery.

A total of 50 local artworks, from both established and up-and-coming artists were selected from almost 200 submissions. The collection of artworks on view ranges from paintings and photographs to digital arts and calligraphy.

Themed under Ramadan in Qatar, the selection includes exclusive art pieces such as Reflection in Isolation, Calligraphy of Islam and Spiritual Isolation with transcripts submitted by the artists alongside their artworks, showcasing the creativity and complexity of their work.

Reflection in Isolation is a piece that symbolises the simplicity yet the importance of Ramadan for all Muslims, especially in Qatar. The other artworks are just as meaningful and significant during this time of the year.

You can view the gallery at www.dohafestivalcity.com.
