Superstar DJ Martin Solveig is coming to play at The St. Regis Doha this month. He will bring his brand of uplifting house and progressive dance to the hotel’s Grand Ballroom on Thursday December 8th.
The French turntablist is a regular in DJ Magazine's countdown of the top 100 DJs in the world and is a former Madonna and Bloc Party collaborator best known for hit single Hello and a residency at legendary club, Pacha in Ibiza.
It is a major coup for clubbers in Qatar and we’re already turning up the stereo in pre-dance anticipation. Early bird tickets are available now at a rate of QR150 or can be bought on the door for QR200. VIP tables, this is Doha after all, will set you back QR5,000. For more information call 4446 0105 or visit www.stregisdoha.com.
Solveig’s confirmed performance is just one of many to be unveiled by St. Regis for an incredible festive season of parties. Oyster Bay has been home to some cracking Doha nights out. Last year’s reggae nights are still talked about in hushed tones and we have high expectations of the new London Beats nights. Lively rock and pop tunes direct from local bands will be centre stage four nights a week and we’re polishing our air guitars in anticipation. Wed 8pm-midnight; Thu-Fri 9.30pm-1.15am; Sat 8pm-1.15am. 100QR for men, including a beverage upon arrival. Check www.oysterbaydoha.com or call 4446 0105 for more information.
Elsewhere The Rooftop strengthens its credentials as one of the go-to alfresco party spots in Doha. It has now teamed up with Café Mambo Ibiza to bring international DJs to Doha every month. We’ve already seen Erik Haglteton of Paris and Ibiza’s Mambo Brothers pass through and DJs have been lined up all the way through to New Year’s Eve. The, er, lovely Lovely Laura and DJ Ben Santiago are signed up for Thursday December 1 and Time Out will bring news of more major announcements as they happen.
