1 Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am actually a self-taught musician. I am originally Portuguese and Venezuelan, but I grew up on the island of Madeira. Since about 2012 I have been in Qatar.

2 When did you first discover music?
When I was six my sister was given a piano for her birthday. She wasn’t interested in playing it, so I started to play and I was hooked.

3 What else do you play?
The bass guitar, drums and percussion.

4 What musical genres inspire you?
As a musician, I believe that you have to find something [inspiring] in all types of music... rock, pop, classic, country, electro/house. My current sound is more electro house and dance driven. Dance music was a major trend in the early 90s. The sound has continued to evolve but it is something that sticks with you.

5 Tell us about your debut track, We are the Light.
[The track] crosses different genres. It has an electro beat and a combination of different instruments and vocals.
