Let’s face it – Doha isn’t exactly known for its nightlife scene. Arts, sports, architectural prowess? Yes. But a night on the dancefloor? Not so much.
That’s not to say there aren’t some top venues – we’ve been known to frequent the likes of Crystal Lounge, Jazz at Lincoln Centre Doha and Trader Vic’s – but variety does not abound.
That, however, is clearly about to change as over the summer, and in the past couple of months, nightlife gurus have been busy revamping, refurbishing and newly launching fresh venues to keep the city’s partygoers dancing well into the early hours.
And we’re thankful because after a whistle-stop tour of four of these excellent new evening spots, we’ve discovered this city now has even more to offer the curious tourist and country resident alike.
Got a plan for the weekend? We know what we’re doing...

This is not a brand new venue but it might as well be with the transformation it’s seen. Sky View at La Cigale Hotel is perched on the 15th floor and is well known for its outdoor clubbing experience. Now it also boasts an impressive two-storey indoor section.
