A new exhibition paying tribute to the palm tree is set to open at Doha Fire Station.
Desert Ode, which features the work of Jawaher Almannai, is now on show at Gallery 4.
Almannai, who was an artist in residence in Paris, explores the symbolism of the palm tree in the showcase.
You can check out Desert Ode from December 9 until January 23, 2021. The gallery is open between 9am and 7pm from Saturday to Thursday, and from 1.30pm until 7pm on Fridays.
According to the gallery, Almannai is a visual artist who focuses on creating abstract paintings through experimenting with different materials, mediums and symbols.
She took part in the Fire Station’s international exchange program at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris last year, living in France between September and December 2019.
