Awesome LEGO activities for free in DFC

We’d be lying if we say we outgrew playing with LEGO. Which is why we’re just as excited as the kids will be for this first-of-its-kind LEGO Festival happening in Doha Festival City.

Until September 17, the entire family can head over to DFC to check out the six different LEGO activities taking place across four different zones in DFC.

A variety of experiences will be tailored for the visitors and these range from creative brick building to instructed challenges and physical activations for guests to engage with.

LEGO Friends Zone is where participants can meet and engage with five exploring, creative, funny and quirky characters – Andrea, Emma, Mia, Olivia and Stephanie.

Located in the atrium node, ground floor, the activities include a photo booth, a silent disco where you can dance away and a creative station where you will be instructed how to create a LEGO heart that will be added to a giant heart display, growing over time, leaving a piece of your LEGO heart in Festival City.

The LEGO Duplo activity, located in the centre court at the ground floor caters for the youngest of visitors and lets them unleash their unlimited potential, learn through play and engage with their families. Toddlers can build pits, tables and a Duplo train, all in a park-themed set up.

LEGO Technic + Architecture also located in the centre court on the ground floor is for the more experienced builders (like us). Patrons get to experience building and racing LEGO cars. You can also add to the ever-growing LEGO skyline with your own skyscraper tower. Don’t forget to take a picture on the podium with the LEGO Champions Cup.

The LEGO Jungle activity will be located at the centre court on the first floor, where you can experience a LEGO zoo with life-size forms of several animals.

The excitement just doesn’t seem to end. LEGO Ninjago, located at the entertainment node, will test childrens’ ability to tame the dragons and become masters, take on the Ninjago challenges and perfect their build skills in the brick arena.

Designed for kids who love adventure, this zone allows the Ninjago theme to come to life with a rustic ninja backdrop, dojo for training and huts for dragon challenges.

The Lego activities are free of charge for Doha Festival City shoppers. Registration desks are available in each activation area and open between 2pm and 10pm daily.
Free. Until Sept 17. Doha Festival City, www.dohafestivalcity.com.
