Breakfast is either one of two things: a piece of toast shoved in your mouth as you rush out of the door (or a bowl of cereal, eaten standing up, if you’re lucky), or a really over-the-top affair with all your favourite dishes, to be savoured and enjoyed.
We don’t have time to enjoy a breakfast bonanza every day, but it’s certainly one of our favourite things when we do.
And if you’re in the mood for an extravagant morning feast, we think you should check out Al Jalsa Garden Lounge’s new breakfast set menus.
There are three options on offer – Arabic, Western, or healthy – and include a glass of juice or a tea or coffee.
The Arabic set menu includes foul moudamas, labneh, assorted olives and pickles, hummus, a cheese, meat or zaatar saj, plus Arabic bread and a cheese platter.
If you opt for the Western menu, you’ll get to tuck into your choice of egg, smoked salmon, cold cuts of meat, plus either French toast, waffles or pancakes, all served with honey, nutella, peanut butter and berry compote.
Finally, if you choose the healthy option, you’ll be served dishes including granola, dried fruit and nuts, chia seed pudding and smoked salmon.
The best part? Your feast will set you back just QR99 per person, and it’s available daily between 6.30am and 11am.
