Education City is more than award-winning architecture and stunning landscaping, it has loads of places to eat, too.
Student Centre
Besides having a variety of educational, social and recreational activities, Education City’s Student Centre (also known as Multaqa) has lots of casual food options including Papa John’s, Zaatar W Zeit, Elevation Burger, Flat White and more. There’s a cafeteria, too, where you can have international dishes, and snacks and ready-to-eat meals from Al Meera.
Sat-Wed 7am-10am; Thu 7am-midnight, Fri 1pm-midnight (4454 0267).
Chef’s Garden
If you’re looking for fresh foods and organic produce, Chef’s Garden really impresses. The ingredients are sourced from Al Safwa farms and though it’s more expensive than other places in the area it’s very good and is in lush surroundings.
Sun-Thu 7am-10pm; Fri-Sat 7am-10.30am, 12.30pm-10pm. Marwan Club, Gate 7, Al Shaqab Street (4409 5040).
LAS
The cafeteria in the Liberal Arts and Science building includes lots of international dishes and an incredibly brilliant chocolate pudding. The menu changes every day, so you’ll probably not get the same dishes twice in a row. The chocolate pudding is there every day, though. There’s a Starbucks in the building, too.
Sun-Thu 7am-7pm; Sat 8.30am-1.30pm. Near HQ, Education City (4452 9597).
Residential halls
If you are looking for a buffet at a very economical price of QR25, you should try the food at either the male or the female dorms. Both serve the same food, with menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The dining hall is open to everyone, and everything is unlimited including coffee and soft beverages.
Female housing (4023 5000), male housing (4023 7000).
