If you’ve been to VOX Cinemas of late, there’s a good chance you’ll already be familiar with famed chef Akira Back who is behind the oh-so-tasty THEATRE menu.
And you’ll soon be able to get the full Akira Back experience at a new restaurant in The Pearl-Qatar.
TONO, which is Peruvian slang for party, will be serving up Nikkei cuisine in Porto Arabia shortly.
Inside, you’ll find Peruvian architectural avant-garde design, complemented perfectly by views out to the Porto Arabia marina.

Chef Akira Back has restaurants in more than 25 cities around the globe, including Seoul, Las Vegas, Istanbul and Dubai.
His eponymous restaurants serve up Japanese plates with Korean flavours, while ABSteak by Chef Akira Back is a modern Korean barbecue spot.
TONO is an entirely new concept for chef Akira Back, and we can’t wait to try it out.
The new eatery will be open between 6pm until 2am, meaning this could be one to add to your late-night dinner spots.
