We’re firm believers in taking advantage of the glorious weather at every opportunity, whether that’s by running outside, heading to the beach for a dip, or visiting a bar.
Luckily for us, there are plenty of outdoor bars and terraces in Doha, and to help you out, we’ve tracked down some of the best.
Whether you’re looking for a date night venue or just want to eat your heart out outdoors, there’s something for everyone.
B-Lounge
The views of Doha marina are absolutely breath-taking from B-Lounge, making it one of our top choices when the weather cools down. It’s also a great spot for making your friends super jealous on Instagram – you just can’t help but look chic when your snaps have yachts in the background.
Sat-Thu noon-4pm, 5pm-midnight; Fri 1pm-4pm, 5pm-midnight. The Ritz-Carlton, West Bay Lagoon (5080 4421).
Belgian Café
There are Belgian Café’s all over the world, but the one in Doha is undoubtedly the best (and we’re not just saying that). The outdoor terrace offers up unbelievable views of the Doha skylines, and when you pair the seascape with mussels and Belgian fries you’re in for an amazing night. Head here on a Tuesday to take advantage of the mussel madness offer, where you’ll enjoy 1 kg worth alongside fries and a pint of hops for QR295.
Daily 12.30pm-midnight. InterContinental Doha, Al Dafna, West Bay (4484 4919).
Iris Doha
On any given night, Iris Doha is where you’ll find the cool crowd hanging out. With its trendy decor and fantastic views, we can’t resist heading here over and over again. Over the past few months we’ve been missing this bar terribly, but it has finally reopened as of mid-September.
Mon-Sat 5pm-midnight. Sharq Village & Spa, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Al Khulaifat (3352 6509).
La Mar
This Peruvian spot is right by the beach, and the terrace outside is just perfect for enjoying Doha’s great weather. If you’re planning on grabbing some food, you should try the ceviche – it’ll rock your world. This is also a great spot for a sundowner, as there is a happy hour between 4pm and 7pm from Thursday to Saturday.
Sun-Thu 6pm-11.30pm; Fri-Sat 12.30pm-4.30pm, 6pm-11.30pm. InterContinental Doha, Al Dafna, West Bay (4484 4919).
Mix Bar
The popular lounge and terrace reopened back in September, complete with a new menu and a happy hour. Head here between 4pm and 8pm every day and you’ll be able to enjoy house beverages starting from QR33.
Daily 4pm-midnight. The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa, Fereej Bin Mahmoud (3359 8514).
Nobu
Most people head to Doha for the food alone, but we think the rooftop bar is a good enough reason, too. The three-storey restaurant stands alone in the marina, offering up amazing views of both the Arabian Gulf and the city beyond. The rooftop bar is sleek and stylish, and we can’t resist snapping a few pictures on any visit here.
Mon-Sat 6pm-1am. Four Seasons Hotel Doha, West Bay (4494 8500).
NOZOMI
We already loved the balcony terrace at NOZOMI, but now that it’s had a revamp we can’t wait to head here once again. Tucking into some delicious sushi while enjoying views of the Marsa Malaz Kempinski Hotel and the Arabian Gulf is our idea of a great time.
Sun-Wed 7pm-11pm; Thu 7pm-midnight; Fri noon-3.30pm, 7pm-midnight; Sat noon-3.30pm, 7pm-11pm. Marsa Malaz Kempinski Hotel, The Pearl-Qatar (4035 5089).
The Secret Garden
This not-so-secret bar is one of our favourites in Doha, thanks to its amazing views over The-Pearl Qatar. The rooftop bar reopened its doors at the start of November, and is proving as popular as ever. We’ll see you there.
Daily 6pm-11pm. Marsa Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl-Qatar (4035 5011).
Trader Vic’s
The Trader Vic’s in Doha has long been a favourite among expats for its amazing views, and we can never resist the outdoor terrace. The bar food here is impeccable, and you’ll always find us in here chowing down on one of the food platters. Like Belgian Café, this spot also has a mussel offer on Mondays, if that’s your thing.
Daily noon-2am. Hilton Doha, West Bay (4423 3225).
