Katara launches virtual calligraphy exhibition

The Katara Cultural Village has launched a new virtual exhibition exploring calligraphy.

Fine Arabic Calligraphy, which was organised in cooperation with the Turkish Cultural Centre Yunus Emre in Doha, is available to view on the Katara website now.

You’ll be able to check out the works of a number of Turkish calligraphers on the Katara website from now until December 31.

Katara has a number of virtual exhibitions on display right now, including Femmes à la mode.

The showcase explores women in fashion and features the work of Indian artist Surabhi Gaikwad.

Plus, the National Museum of Qatar has just launched two crowdsourced virtual exhibitions.

The first, Habitats and Shelters, uses community-sourced photos to explore how the community adapted their living spaces during lockdown, while the second looks at traditional Qatari cuisine.
Until Dec 31.www.katara.net
