'Artists in the time of COVID-19' exhibition to launch at FBQ Museum

For most of us, the past few months have been spent battling to get to grips with home workouts, baking banana bread, and bingeing Netflix. Essentially, not doing very much at all.

But artists across Qatar have been working as hard as ever, and have produced a number of new pieces for an exhibition at the Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum (FBQ Museum).

“Artists in the time of COVID-19” is set to open at The White Majlis on September 4, and will feature the works of more than 30 Qatar-based artists.

The pieces explore feelings stemming from the coronavirus pandemic, and were sent into the museum as part of an open call launched in April.

There are plans for three separate exhibitions, with the second launching on October 9, and the final set to open on November 13.

A number of different mediums will feature in the exhibitions, including paintings, sculptures, prints and photographs.

The price of the exhibition is included in admission to the FBQ museum.
