Qatari artists launch charity campaign to support low-income families

A number of Qatari artists have launched a charity campaign to support low-income families.

Teaming up with Qatar Charity, the artists will be selling 42 different paintings and using the proceeds to help others who may be struggling, especially due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

It is hoped the initiative will raise awareness about humanitarian and social issues, and help families meet their basic food and health needs.

Hanadi Al-Darwish, an artist and owner of Dar Hessa which organised the campaign, said, “Through our art works, we will contribute to mitigating the suffering of the low-income families affected by the pandemic.”

She also thanked the other artists for taking part, pointing out that they have a responsibility towards the country, especially in the pandemic.

The paintings will be displayed on the Qatar Charity website and you can contact them for more information.
