Although museums and cultural sites started to reopen in July, we must admit we love a virtual exhibition.
You can get all the cultural and educational benefits without ever having to leave your sofa - and it looks like they’re here to stay.
The Katara Cultural Village has just launched yet another virtual showcase, this time featuring the work of Indian artist Surabhi Gaikwad.
Femmes à la mode features portraits of women in high fashion, and was inspired by Gaikwad’s own love of fashion.
Speaking of the new exhibition, Gaikwad said, “Women have always been a focal point in my artwork.
“The idea of painting them in Fashionable outfits stems from my own love for fashion. When a woman feels attractive and beautiful it exudes her mood.
“The Women I portray are women who are strong and independent, who know what they want and desire to define their own perspective and create their own narrative through their lifestyle: Fashion forming an important component of this narrative.”
