Take a journey through Middle Eastern flavours at Al Hubara on Saturdays, with a selection of hot and cold mezze followed by mains such as lamb ouzi and shawarma. You can even give local Qatari dishes a go, with chicken madrooba, lamb harees, majboos and lentil soup all on offer here.

Did someone say dim sum? Then you’d better get yourself down to Deli Kitchen for yum cha Saturdays, where you’ll enjoy the best steamed and grilled buns around, alongside refreshing iced tea.

El Faro
Saturdays are definitely for siestas, and after tucking into three different kinds of paellas alongside Spanish tapas at El Faro, you’ll definitely be in the mood for a snooze thanks to the oncoming food coma.

Elements
Nothing says summer like a barbecue, and the Saturday brunch at Elements has just that. You can enjoy freshly grilled bites from the shaokao (aka Chinese barbecue) station like lamb, squid, and char siu short ribs, and enjoy pass around dishes like sushi and dim sum before enjoying dessert.

Hudson Tavern
One of our favourite pubs in the city, Hudson Tavern’s Saturday offering is all about the humble roast. The meal kicks off with appetisers including mozzarella sticks and buffalo chicken wings before diving into smoked beef brisket and roast chicken paired with veg, potatoes, a Yorkshire pudding and plenty of gravy. Dessert comes in the form of sticky toffee pudding, lemon meringue tart, and bread and butter pudding, and is well worth sticking around for.

Hunters Room & Grill
With main courses that include grilled short ribs, picanha, lamp chops and chicken thighs, Hunters’ gaucho brunch is definitely one for meat-lovers. Alongside the meaty mains, you can enjoy empanadas, breads and salads to start plus a grilled pineapple with ice cream for dessert.

Isaan
Always going nuts for noodles? Then you need to spend your Saturdays at Isaan, where you can enjoy noodle-based appetisers, soups, curries and stir-fried dishes. The sky’s the limit.

Mulberry Tavern
The weekend is all about relaxing, and nothing sounds more chilled out than Mulberry Tavern’s Saturday lunch. For QR99, you’ll enjoy a two-course meal and you can add on a two-hour house beverage package for QR149. The menu includes all of the gastropub’s most popular dishes, including fish and chips, Irish oysters and the mulberry cheesecake. Yum.

Big fan of Thai food? Us too. Get yourself down to Sabai Thai on Saturdays for the brunch and you’ll get to tuck into all of the restaurant’s best dishes like vegetable spring rolls, krapow and mango sticky rice.

Sel & Miel
Tres chic French venue Sel & Miel will whisk you away to the streets of Paris with its brunch. Dine on cold cuts, prawn cocktail salad and marinated Alaskan king crab legs before heading to the live stations for mains such as steak fries and duck leg confit. End on a high note with crêpes suzette and you’ll wish you could spend every Saturday here.

STK
Another option for roast dinner fans, STK serves up its brisket, rib-eye, lamb and chicken family-style. Pair your meaty treats with trimmings like roasted mixed vegetables, mashed potato and truffle mac and cheese along with a coating of burnt onion gravy and you’ll be feeling like you’re in Britain in no time.
