Three Asian brunches to try in Doha this weekend

The weekend is almost here and in the run up to Friday, we're giving you three top options if you fancy anything from a slow-cooked cod to a satay.

Shanghai Club
If you want to eat your Peking duck during the golden hours, the Sunset Brunch is where you need to be. This brunch at Shanghai Club takes place from 3pm to 6.30pm and has a stunning setting with floor-to-ceiling windows looking over a panoramic view of West Bay and beyond. There are live cooking stations, delicious appetisers and mains brought to your table and an exciting tea performance by a tea sommelier. We humbly (and very highly) recommend the radish cakes.

Spice Market
We’re not sure why this is called Chin Chin brunch, but we promise you can find the best Asian street food at this themed affair. There’s a DJ to keep things lively (you might even catch a live band if you’re lucky) while you stroll through the markets of Southeast Asia. From dosas and duck to satays and ice cream rolls, there’s all your favourite street foods to try.
QR350 (soft drinks), QR450 (house beverages). Fri noon-4pm. W Doha Hotel & Residences (4453 5135).

Ah, good old Zengo, serving up the classiest pan Asian dishes in the most sophisticated setting on the 61st floor of the Kempinski tower. It’s not just the food here that impresses, it’s the presentation, the service and of course, the panoramic views. It’s a stylish affair for discerning diners who just can’t compromise on quality.
QR250 (soft drinks), QR390 (selected beverages). Fri 12.30pm-3.30pm. Kempinski Residences & Suites, West Bay (4405 3561).
