We repair our face with the Elemis Herbal Lavender Facial at Essence Spa

Essence Spa in Doha reviewed

The promise
The Elemis facial treatments promise tailored treatments to best suit your skin type and a variety of products are also available at Essence Spa to suit every skin type and concern.

Step by step
The treatment starts with a quick foot massage, which is an Elemis signature spa ritual. After a cleansing, the therapist inspects our skin and determines which product range and service is best for us and it was decided, in this case, that we must try the Elemis Herbal Lavendar Repair Facial due to our sensitive skin.

This includes cleansing, toning, steaming, exfoliating, and extracting of comedones, followed by a quick yet relaxing facial massage and application of a facial mask.

To finish, a toner and moisturiser are applied.

The result
Our irritated skin is improved and repaired.

Pros
It does as it says on the tin – it repairs irritated skin and reveals a fresher and cleaner face, unlike most other facials which noticeably upset the skin post-treatment. It’s also great value for money considering the quality of products used.

Cons
Results are great but fairly temporary even after using the recommended post-treatment products. Speaking of which, while the products come recommended for regular maintenance, they don’t come cheap – and the price is on top of the treatment cost, too.
