The Library

Forget the name, this is a lively bustling bar any night of the week

Time Out Says

This Ramada bar bristles with action every night of the week, but just why it is so popular with expatriates and locals alike puzzles Time Out no end. The atmosphere here is loud, as the amateurish band ceaselessly squawk out cover songs to a predominantly male audience who don’t seem to mind that the speaker system sounds like it was snapped up at a car boot sale. Not very ‘library like’ then… However, the decor ensures that the bar lives up to its name; table legs are made out of old books, which makes for a quirky touch, while the walls are adorned with images of philosophers and, rather bizarrely, a tiger with a book in its mouth.
