First impressions of this ground floor Mövenpick bar aren’t great. A tad rough, this boozer has a somewhat seedy feel, which is emphasised yet further by the male-heavy clientele. But once you’re inside and settled on a sofa, the bar becomes far more welcoming than its decor initially suggests. This is due in no small part to the superbly stocked bar, and friendly staff who know how to mix a decent cocktail. Martinis and mojitos all feature, but try the bar’s namesake – a blend of vodka, triple sec and peach schnapps. Another plus point is awarded to the pianist, who tickles the ivories with consummate skill. This is no ‘must go’ venue, but if you’ve been dining at the Mövenpick, it’s a nice enough place for a post-dinner drink.
Piano Piano Bar
Decent venue with basic decor but friendly staff and a well-stocked bar
