Watch Marshmello perform live this month in Doha

Mellow moves

What happens when it’s summer in Qatar? A massive, country-wide celebration, of course. And what’s better than celebrating with a party? If you’re not excited thus far, you will be as soon as we tell you EDM artist and producer Marshmello is performing live for the first time in Qatar this month.

Pack your party outfits for the concert of a lifetime. We might be slightly biased because we love Marshmello so much, but who doesn’t adore a gigantic smiling marshmallow with crosses for eyes spinning ultra dance tunes?

Christopher Comstock, better known by his stage name Marshmello is an American electronic music producer and DJ, with several international awards to his name including Best New Pop Artist and Dance Artist of the Year at iHeartRadio Music Awards. He also snagged the Best Song title for his track Happier at the International Dance Music Awards.

Marshmello struck gold on YouTube with tracks Alone and Summer, both of which have amassed more than 140 million views.

His breakthrough track Alone earned him millions of YouTube views, instantly shooting him to stardom. Keeping his identity a mystery, Marshmello has worked with names including Selena Gomez, Charlie Puth and Lele Pons, and his set at Qatar National Convention Centre promises to be filled with uplifting tunes and huge drops.

Marshmello recently collaborated with Indian music producer Pritam for the chart-popping Bollywood tune Biba, making mega waves in the Indian music scene. In true Bollywood-style, a female marshmallow-head also stars in the YouTube video. India is really special to him and 2019 is the Qatar-India Year of Culture making his Doha concert perfectly timed.

We know you have a million questions. How is a giant marshmallow going to get through airport security? Is he going to sing? Can he sing? What does he eat? Any relation to Deadmau5 or Daft Punk? We cannot answer any of those questions, but we can ask you to book your tickets for July 25, at Marshmello’s first-ever live gig in Doha at QNCC. We’ll be around, most probably in the front rows with cameras ready, just in case he decides to take his mask off.
