New bars in Doha

Iris Doha
Legendary rooftop bar Iris has just opened its doors to the public in a stunning new location and it’s the best thing that’s happening to us this month. Iris Doha really impresses with its signature creative mixed beverages, incredible sunset views and live, smooth lounge music. Located at the Sharq Village and Spa, Iris comes alive during sunset hours with its chilled music that will pick up pace as you go into the hours of the night. The food menu is exciting – we’re talking Mediterranean, Japanese and South American dishes from Iris’ award-winning menu. A star feature of the menu is the Iris Raw Bar, drawing on elements of Japanese and South American cuisines and serving a small but impactful traditional maki menu with a modern flair. We’d be surprised if you need more reasons to go here.
Sharq Village & Spa, Ras Abu Aboud (4425 6666).

La Vista 55
Picture a vibrant fusion of the lively atmosphere and exciting flavours of vintage Havana and you pretty much have La Vista 55, another super addition to Doha’s nightlife scene. This bar-lounge brings a piece of Cuba to Doha and for a twist, you can admire Doha’s panoramic views from the 55th floor while feeling like you’re chilling on the streets of Havana. A small stage area allows for a band to play every day after 7pm, except on Saturdays, when a DJ takes to the decks. Order one of the signature beverages for a complete sensory experience – each one is unique and exciting.
InterContinental Doha The City, West Bay (4015 8888).

Just above the InterContinental Doha’s new La Mar restaurant is the stylish new nightlife venue, occupying the top floor of a cavernous new space. Climb the solid stone steps passing a softly lit bar and make your way to the outdoor area of Manko. It is sophisticated, with a Parisian flair, amazing views and interesting cuisine. Comfy couches padded with starfish patterned cushions overlooking a sparkling view of the West Bay skyline adorn the space. The range of sips is massive with selected beverages starting QR65. Unfortunately, Manko is one of the very few places in Doha that does not have happy hours, but trust us, when you get to the venue, it won’t even matter anymore.
InterContinental Doha, West Bay Lagoon (4484 4444).
